Some time ago I met this wonderful site that gave me the opportunity to improve my English and learn other languages.
The site has many exercises created using a combination of audio, text and picture where you can learn from the basic to intermediate and advanced.
After each lesson you are subjected to a test of your knowledge of where they are tested everything you learned. Through contributions from users of all places around the world yours exercises are corrected.
As Livemocha is based on contributions from users to verify your exercises that can be take a long to be corrected. So they created another service, this time paid, you can pay a sum and then a teacher will correct a number of exercises. Apart from it everything is free!
Making contributions you also win prizes, as a teacher of the week and so on.

2 Comments Many friends of mine know that I’m betraying CakePHP using Magento e-Commerce in a few projects.
Okay, it is not completely true. Because I must use Magento e-Commerce for an fast and rapid solution (that is what my boss thought when he told and forced me to use Magento) since there is no good solution in CakePHP and I do not have time to put my efforts on a new platform.
I could use BakeSale, but like I said is not comparable to Magento e-Commerce.
Well, now I have explained everything, let’s down to business…
I have released two Brazilian-specific Magento Modules:
- Correios (Shipping and Tracking) - Correios is an Brazilian organization like FEDEX (in USA).
- Boleto Bancário – It is a payment method for all banks. You print a bill and then pay on the bank (or online bank).
These modules can be downloaded from my Cushy Mage project at Google Code.
Who am I?
My name is Renan Gonçalves, 19 years old. I born in a small city called Extrema (Minas Gerais, Brazil) and I live in São Paulo (São Paulo, Brazil) since 2007.
I meet PHP in 2003 when my cousin went to my house and showed me how build my first PHP application, a pool system.
My first freelancer was in 2004, I did some features in a site about security.
What am I passionate for?
I love write test cases, do nice applications with JQuery AJAX, learn new things in general. If you go to my house you will see many books about various subjects.
Well, I usually say that a challenge give me power to increase my knowledgement, I really love be moved to a challenge.
What am I doing?
Actually I’m a CakePHP Core Developer (then expect many posts about this great framework).
I’m working on a really little company called InovaDigital as a Developer Senior (Server Admin, Team Leader … you know, I’m a all-in-one guy).
What will I do?
For now, apart from CakePHP Framework development, I’ll dedicate my time for Bakery and CakeBOOK development. There are many things to do to make this applications more global, like add some Internationalization, translate the content to Portuguese and add nice features.
I’m planning dedicate some time to learn more and contribute to JQuery.
What I said on the title of this post, it is just a begin. So do not expect too many from me.
